Good value, and we really enjoyed room service. A nice comfy base for exploring Fowey. Sea view was worthy.

Satisfied with the food, it was high quality and with lots of meals. Views were marvellous! By the way, hotel charges for parking, that's gbp 10 per day.

Hotel was clean, staff friendly had a relaxing time

This is an outstanding hotel. The combination of a superb location with magnificant views, the elegant decor and the warmth and friendliness of the staff made our short stay memorable. Breakfast was cooked to order, with a good range of options. The directions provided on how to reach the hotel were excellent. Parking could be a problem in busy periods but we reserved one of the limited hotel spaces in advance and appreciated the phone call the day before to confirm this. Do make sure you walk down to St Catherine's point, and explore the coast paths in both directions. This is a wonderful spot to unwind. We strongly recommend this hotel and are looking forward to a return visit.

Relaxing, lovely views, lovely ambiance
Shame the kippers weren't from Charlestown as before
-
Superb location and friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast would be hard to improve on.
Dinner in the hotel dining room has to be a 3 course affair and the menu was very good - but sometimes you want to dine there but not necessarily have 3 courses. Guests also need to watch the new computer billing system which automatically adds on some items you may not have had - our bill was significantly above what it should have been - though the staff sorted this out quickly, pleasantly and apologetically.
-
The positioning of the hotel - fab views
The Hotel was in need of an update - seems to rely on its position and friendly staff - rooms tired and some areas could really do with a make over.
-
Sea views from the room and large, well-decorated rooms
Lack of parking spaces and had to change rooms during our stay
-
Close to good gardens, Heligan, Lanhydrock and the Eden Project
Godo restaurant with excellent food, very good staff
-
High class luxury surroundings, delicious food, fabulous views, friendly staff - we couldn't fault it
Car parking was awkward as we hadn't reserved a space
-
The attentive staff - not overdone - just right. And the hotel itself - it had real charm in a superb location.

The location and the staff are always absolutely superb. The breakfast is good.

This is a superb hotel in a beautiful location. We were well looked after and the staff were first class. We arrived before check-in and our room was not ready; we were offered tea in the lounge overlooking the river whilst we waited. The hotel is full of character and we could not find one fault throughout our stay.
The restaurant is expensive but there are lots of cosy pubs and one restaurant only 10 minutes walk away in the village.
